- Enhanced escrow productivity and flexibility by designing an Azure-based overdraft workspace, enabling escrow offices to approve overdraft transactions regardless of location or network connectivity. The application was hosted in Azure App Service, integrated with the company’s core system via Azure ExpressRoute, and secured using Azure Active Directory for user authentication, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Ensured flawless and timely transmission of outgoing wire transfers to the Fedwire system by designing a mission-critical application. Built the solution using Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure SQL Database for high reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Strengthened the security of the company’s core system and minimized wire fraud risks by implementing a robust wire information validation process against the SafeValidation™ database. This additional authentication layer ensured only legitimate wires were processed, providing comprehensive validation and enhancing the company’s overall wire transfer security posture.
- Enhanced the security of the company’s wire transfer operations by implementing a security control using the Gemalto Luna appliance to sign and verify requests and responses from trusted applications. This implementation ensured compliance with security protocols and best practices, providing a more robust and secure environment for wire transfers.
Software Solution Architect
July 2013 - September 2016
- Enabled seamless receipt of wires into First American's core system by designing and implementing an integration with Comerica Bank. This integration involved developing a backend system to read wires from an SFTP location hosted by Comerica, ensuring that received wires were promptly made available for user processing and deposit.
- Ensured compliance with TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) rules by leading a comprehensive multiyear program to overhaul the company’s core system. This involved architecting major system enhancements, including redesigning the user experience, enabling accurate rendering and delivery of the closing disclosure document, transforming closing disclosure data into the MISMO format, and building integrations with various internal and external applications.
- Implemented a robust-checking wire information against the SafeValidation™ database.
- Designed an overdraft workspace in the Azure cloud that was a significant step towards efficiency of the escrow productivity and efficiency of the escrow officers while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Designed and implemented an integration with Comerica Bank that enabled the receipt of wires into First American core system.
Senior Software Consultant
April 2003 - June 2013
- Ensured compliance with Executive Presidential Order No. 13244 by designing and implementing a capability within the company’s core system to automatically search and identify flagged persons or businesses upon data entry. Established a systematic workflow for reporting such instances, enhancing regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
- Enabled enterprise-wide document generation, delivery, and storage by developing a distributed-architecture Document Management System (DMS). The system integrated key sub-systems, including Request Service, Document Services, Word Automation System, and Delivery Services. It empowered administrators to create and manage document templates for seamless transaction processing and PDF document storage within the system’s repository.
- Enabled authorized users to manage incoming wires by developing an integration based on BAI2 standards, allowing the company’s system to receive wires from the Fedwire system efficiently and securely.
- Accelerated integration development by architecting an asynchronous framework based on event-driven architecture. This framework enabled developers to build integrations with internal and external systems quickly and efficiently, enhancing scalability and reducing development time.
